Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette is a French author of many books which were published under her family name only. She was born near Auxerre in 1873 and died in Paris in 1954. The first edition of ‘Le blé en Herbe’ was published in 1923.
Jean Berque was born in Reims in 1894 and died unexpectedly in Paris in 1954.
He was a French painter and book illustrator who worked together with several other artists, like e.g. François-Louis Schmied.
